PeakWaggers gourmet dog meals are light-weight, compact, non-perishable and nutritious meals for dogs that enjoy outdoor activities with their owners. A brand-new company, Peak Waggers was looking for a new website design that would not only be visually stimulating but also bring in new business from the search engines. Because search engines rely on a number of factors including incoming links and the number of years a website has been running for, this made for an especially difficult search engine optimization program for this new website. In addition to those factors, the keywords peak wagers wanted to be optimized for were very competitive in their industry.

ClearPixelDesign created a new website for Peak Waggers that incorporated a full-scale Search Engine Optimization program. We optimized the Meta tags, copy, Alt tags and navigational structure. We also created a site map that would make it easy for search engines to spider the entire site. We created listings on multiple directories and advised Peak Waggers on additional directory listing opportunities.

Results
Within a few weeks Peak Waggers was listed on Google, AOL, Alta Vista and other top search engines and directories. In this short timeframe, their listings in the major search engines jumped from 0 listings to17 first position listings, 35 top ten listings and 40 top thirty listings. Since that time, the Peak Waggers has continued to increase in visibility. They are currently found in the number 1 position in Google for terms including “dog meals for outdoor dogs”, “gourmet dehydrated dog meals”, “trail food for dogs”, “dog meals for travelers” and other search terms.

The Glen Manor House is a historic manor that operates as a venue for weddings, corporate events and private gatherings. The company was interested in an online marketing plan that would help the Glen Manor House gain more traffic and visibility online. They were especially interested in marketing themselves as the top venue for weddings and corporate events in the Newport /Portsmouth / Rhode Island area. The challenge was finding a way to get the Glen Manor House listed in the top search engine for popular search phrases above other popular directory websites. At the time of the optimization the Glen Manor website only had visibility for search terms that included the “Glen Manor” name.

We re-organized the website structure, optimized the Meta and Alt tags, revised the copy on the website and created a site map with text links to all pages throughout the site. Focus was placed on general search terms relating to wedding and corporate venues in their area, versus focusing on the company name. We also made sure the Glen Manor House was listed in the top free directories and submitted a site map directly to Google.

Results
Within a month website visibility for the Glen Manor House had more than doubled. In response, website traffic also increased. The Glen Manor website was now being found at the top of the major search engine for popular search terms that were in competition with other venues in the area as well as top wedding and event directories. They are currently found in the number 1 position in Google for terms including “portsmouth ri wedding venues”, “portsmouth rhode island weddings”, “portsmouth corporate meetings”, “rhode island event facility” and other search terms.
